The Simulation Center is a medical training facility located in the existing 100+ year old LDS Hospital. The 11,000 square-foot facility is designed to help train current and future doctors, nurses, and healthcare technicians.
The center has three inpatient rooms, a fully outfitted operating room, a labor and delivery suite with an infant resuscitation station, a procedure lab, and a home health suite, all remotely observed and controlled from a centralized command center. In addition, interactive computer-operated mannequin simulators facilitate training on a full range of clinical interventions.
Key design considerations including creating state-of-the-art exploration and teaching spaces demonstrated in Intermountain Health’s commitment to improve healthcare delivery and innovation.
